With scenic waterfront views

Hout Bay

Ten minutes in the opposite direction, you’ll find Hout Bay. Hout Bay offers scenic waterfront views surrounded by impressive mountain terrain. The Atlantic Ocean lookout spots dotted around Hout Bay are truly spectacular, and well worth stopping at if you get the chance. Hout Bay’s Bay Harbour Market is the place to be on weekends, with local traders selling souvenirs, regional produce and street food alongside live music.

When conditions are good you can head out on a boat cruise from Hout Bay Harbour to Duiker Island, also known as seal island, where you'll have the chance to observe hundreds of cape fur seals on the rocks. From the boat, you may also see dolphins, sun fish, and whales out at sea.
