Voted South Africa’s Best Hotel Restaurant at the 2020 World Culinary Awards, Azure Restaurant blends panoramic sea views with a menu of exceptional Cape cuisine. Our menu champions local ingredients, particularly local seafood and sustainably caught fish. Local delicacies such as mussels, crayfish, oysters, prawns, langoustines, and squid all take centre stage on our elegant, fine dining menu.

In a refined space of plush leather seating and starched white tablecloths, Executive Chef Christo Pretorius deftly combines international inspiration with home-grown flavours on a menu that celebrates seasonality, sustainability and the bountiful fresh produce of the Cape. Alongside Chef Christo’s contemporary plates, look forward to a selection of much-loved signature dishes created by Beatrice Tollman, the inspirational founder of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection.

This five-course dégustation menu offers an unforgettable gourmet adventure. Available at both lunch and dinner, the ‘Journey through the Cape’ menu showcases some delicious dishes. Each course is paired with a regional wine selected by our Head Sommelier, creating a memorable food and wine discovery of the flavours, produce, and culinary heritage of the Western Cape and its varied landscape of oceans and mountains.

Executive Chef, Christo Pretorius, has been at The Twelve Apostles for 10 years. Drawing on international influence married with the exceptional local flavours of the Cape, Chef Pretorious is an expert in crafting inspired menus that celebrate and centre South African cuisine. With a passion for both seafood and game, enjoy traditional, locally sourced dishes that showcase the season’s flavours.
