Step into our iconic and characterful 1920s hotel, an architectural gem combining British elegance with southern coastal charm.

Located at the heart of Palm Beach, we showcase exceptional hospitality, sophisticated interiors and beautifully designed rooms and suites. Experience delicious cuisine, creative cocktails and live music in our legendary Leopard Lounge, or indulge in traditional Afternoon Tea.

Everyone is welcome

Children of all ages are welcomed at the hotel, and guests aged 12 and below stay free of charge when sharing with two adults. Children receive a complimentary gift bag on arrival, filled with a welcome gift and a souvenir card to redeem special treats throughout the hotel. Child-sized bathrobes are provided, with cots and playful sleeping ‘tents’ included at no additional cost.

Young guests will love the hotel’s two swimming pools, or can visit our on-site cinema, where child-friendly films are screened each afternoon.

For parents hoping to enjoy a private dinner in one of the hotel’s acclaimed restaurants, a professional child-minding service can provide experienced babysitters, on request and at additional cost.

Pools & gardens

Young travellers will love the two pools at The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa. The infinity pool overlooking the Atlantic Ocean offers the unique opportunity to spot whales and dolphins from the pool, while the quieter ‘rock pools’ at the rear of the hotel boast impressive views onto Table Mountain. Pool toys are provided during school holidays, or on request.

A special menu is available for poolside service, with a dedicated kid-friendly selection to keep young ones from going hungry. Complimentary water, fruit and sun lotion is available throughout the day from our refreshment stations. Older children will also love exploring our gardens of indigenous fynbos. Private picnic sites offer wonderful mountain and sea views, and generous picnic baskets are available on request.

The Two Oceans Aquarium

The Two Oceans Aquarium

Named for the Atlantic and Indian Oceans that meet at Cape Agulhas, the southern tip of Africa, this world-class aquarium is a must-visit in the Mother City. The Two Oceans Aquarium has three large tanks holding sharks, rays, turtles and pelagic fish, alongside dozens of fascinating smaller exhibits.

Table Mountain

The quickest way to reach the top of Table Mountain is on the modern aerial cableway which whisks visitors to the summit in just five minutes, with rotating cars offering spectacular views of the mountain, city and surrounding oceans. Imhoff Farm was bought in 1912 by Johannes Gerhardus Pieter van der Horst. A well-known Cape Town attorney and businessman, he married the principal of Tamboerskloof School, Annie Hardman. Together they transformed the old Imhoff’s Gift into one of the original show farms of the Cape. Today visitors to the farm can still enjoy this view and on clear days even see the protected bay of Hout Bay.
