At The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa we are acutely aware of the social challenges facing the under-privileged in Cape Town and South Africa. We are committed to uplifting our surrounding communities in partnership with local charities, including Amy Foundation and Pack for a Purpose.
Amy Foundation is a non-profit organisation whose mission is to prevent youth violence through a holistic approach to youth and community development in socio-economically disadvantaged communities.
We are proud supporters of Pack for a Purpose and encourage visitors to pack medical items, pens, toys and more for local communities, to help to make a big impact on the lives of children around the world.
Through initiatives such as two-minute shower timers, reusable ice cubes, waterless urinals, and grey-water retention systems, we have reduced water consumption in the hotel by a remarkable 42%. We are also committed to removing all unnecessary single-use plastics, a target propelled by our partnership with Belu Water, and are working with Winnow to reduce food waste.
