The Fynbos & Feast extraordinary dining experience allows guest the opportunity of enjoying a three-course lunch in our light and airy Café Grill before (or after) embarking on a self-guided walk in the Table Mountain National Park, leading directly from the hotel onto the slopes of the majestic Twelve Apostles mountain range.
Part of the UNESCO Cape Floral Region World Heritage Site, Table Mountain has gained New7Wonders of Nature status, and is an ideal place to admire the magnificent variety of fynbos vegetation that occurs in the area. The Protea bush takes pride of place, but there are also many other types of indigenous plants and bird life that may be admired along the hiking route, where eight different viewing spots offer a place to rest and take in the breathtaking panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. The hiking route takes approximately 45 minutes (depending on level of fitness), and is suitable for two or more people, including groups and families.
All persons partaking in the walk do so at their own risk. The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa is surrounded by the Table Mountain National Park, a World Heritage Site. The Twelve Apostles mountain range is the natural habit of many species of flora and fauna, including birds, small buck and snakes. No smoking or fire making is permitted on any part of this mountain walk. Any person found to contravene this rule will be held liable - including for costs incurred to extinguish a fire.
